This crappie came out of 20′

this guy shows up in 20′ of water.

In the area were several balls of shad.

The wind was howling which prevented

fishing the area for any length of time.

Even Tadpole gets lucky.

This big momma had not make it to the

shallow spawning water as she was

caught in 20′ deep.

After this photo she was released to

hopefully release the eggs

in her belly.

good crappie fishing on Toledo just around the corner

With the north wind howling

I was able to catch several nice crappie

in 12 to 15 foot of water on hair jigs.

The bite was slow but steady.

Big Blue Heron

It sits in a nearby Cypress waiting for me to clean fish.
