It was a busy afternoon

as soon as he got here for a short visit, it was time to fish.

It just got better and the fish got bigger.

a nice blue catfish

And then he caught this prehistoric fish.

Some names for this fish:

bowfin: grinnel, brindle, blackfish, mudfish, dogfish, shoepike, cypress bass, cypress trout, choupique, scaley cat, buglemouth bass, German bass, spottail, grinner, and brindlefish

And then we had less than one hour to deer hunt

and he takes this nice buck.

What a afternoon for a Grandson!

  1. Nice deer! I hope you tried the smiley trick on him.

Think one of your upcoming post should be a step by step pictorial of aunt Glenda cooking her venison and onion dish.

    • I had forgotten the “smiley deer”. If you have the antlers, I can get a photo of you with those antlers and explain to the world how it got its name.

      Fried Vension recipe under consideration.
