  1. I’d have Reagan over Obama any day. This man did seem to love the Lord. But I get concerned when he is put on a pedestal. He did not trust God enough to provide for our country and it was on his watch when we went from being the greatest lender to the greatest creditor in the world. On his watch, the country built up military (and other programs) on the backs of my grandchildren. The military was important during that time, but I can find no example in the Bible where God instructed a people to build up their military through the debt of future generations.

In the Bible, David was a man after God’s own heart. However, many people under his leadership paid for his sins. We’re paying right now for the amount of debt that this country accumulated, much of it starting with Reagan. We can justify the spending levels based on the time in history and political situations, but the fact is – God said the borrower is slave to the lender. We’re becoming slaves because of the justifications of debt instead of trusting God to provide our protection and provision.
