A cucumber patch for our neighbors

Filed under: Misc — Freddie Keel @ 6:39 am

In the winter, we had a turnip green patch

in this spot which is along the highway.

We put up a sign “FREE GREENS”.

The public did help themselves.

We now have about 200 hills of cucumbers planted.

Several folks have already stopped by to see

what we were planting and if it would be free to the public.

But first, we need cucumbers to make pickles.

Once cucumbers are gathered, they go to Nanna’s kitchen.

And Nanna converts Cucumbers into Dill Pickles.

(She gives away every jar of pickles)

  1. Another case of “not what you know but who you know.”
