Free Turnip Greens and Turnips

Filed under: Misc — Freddie Keel @ 6:54 am

Back in the fall, we disk up an area along our highway frontage

and planted turnip green seeds.

The drought of 2011 delayed the seed germination

and development.

Finally the seeds received enough moisture

and produced a fair patch of greens.

They were available to whoever wished to stop

and gather a mess of greens.
