Avoid F1 Key Per Snopes

Filed under: Misc — Freddie Keel @ 7:25 pm

For PC users….. Take Note!

Avoid F1 key
This is a new virus as of March 2010. Please pass this on to everyone on your list.
Rec’d this “heads up” this morning . . . good thing not to do. While browsing on the web, a notice is given to press your F1 key (that’s across top left of your keyboard, and usually means “Help”. Not this time. It will release a potent virus in your computer. . . if you don’t press F1, you will be reminded until you do. . …but just click on the little ‘x’ on the window, or close your browser totally – might even be better to reboot.

Click on the SNOPES link below for further confirmation of this threat.

Do NOT press the F1 key no matter how many times your computer asks you to.

Mama and Clement – 05/25/2010

Filed under: Family,Hemphill Care Center — Freddie Keel @ 3:24 pm

Mama was in an especially good mood today at lunch.  I took my cap off and she put it on her head.

She and Clement from adjoining table were talking about the photos being used in a garden to keep the crows out.

Mama listening to Clement tell a story.

Mama and Clement talking about ‘old times’ before lunch.  Mama had received a letter (email) from  grand-daughter Kris.   In the email, Kris had talked about picking black berries and trying to make a berry cobbler like Mama’s.  So Mama and Clement got into conversation about making not only berry cobblers but making berry jellies and berry jams out of fresh berries.

FISH FRY AT HEMPHILL CARE CENTER

Filed under: Hemphill Care Center — Freddie Keel @ 3:18 pm

The fine christian folks from the Fairdale Baptist Church cooked fish for the residents and friends/family of the Hemphill Care Center.  The hot and muggy weather did not affect the quality of their fish, hush puppies, french fries or cole slaw.  They did a great job and it was appreciated by all.

On the way to town a couple of days ago, I noticed a person had lost control of their vehicle and run through a fence coming to rest in a field.  Hopefully, no one was injured.
